^^ back to the topPackage Holidays & Package Tours Regulations 1992
These regulations apply to almost all holiday companies that arrange package holidays booked through UK travel agents and tour operators carrying out retail sales including foreign companies that operate and have a physical place of business in the UK. The rules dictate that the holiday company must provide reasonable accommodation in accordance with descriptions in brochures or advertisements. In addition holiday companies are required to provide comprehensive information about the holiday to the consumer both before a contract is entered into and a reasonable time before the holiday. Furthermore all tour operators and travel agents are required to be bonded so as to guarantee refunds and repatriation in the event of financial failure by any of the companies involved.SOLICITORS HELPLINE 0845 177 0898
